Includes a Live In-Person Event on 06/21/2026 at 8:00 AM (MDT)

This two-day Standard TPLO course is designed for surgeons with prior experience in small animal orthopaedics who wish to offer Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO) as a treatment option for dogs with cranial cruciate ligament disease.

The course provides a comprehensive overview of the biomechanical rationale and evolution of TPLO, alongside practical instruction in case selection, surgical planning, operative technique, and post-operative management. Teaching is delivered through a combination of didactic lectures, case-based discussions, and structured dry-lab and wet-lab practical sessions to support safe and repeatable clinical application.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the biomechanical principles underlying TPLO surgery.
  • Perform accurate and repeatable TPLO planning.
  • Demonstrate practical skills required for the safe execution of TPLO.
  • Identify common intra-operative and post-operative complications.
