Kayla Corriveau, DVM, DACVS-SA

Dr. Corriveau grew up in Southern California and developed an early interest in veterinary medicine through a love of science and problem-solving. She earned her DVM from Western University of Health Sciences in 2011 and went on to complete a rotating internship at California Veterinary Specialists, followed by surgical specialty internships at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego and the University of Pennsylvania. She then pursued a small animal surgical residency at Texas A&M University, where her passion for orthopedic surgery and biomechanics solidified into a dedicated career focus.

After residency, Dr. Corriveau joined the faculty at Auburn University in 2017, where she is now an Associate Professor of Small Animal Orthopedics. Her clinical and research interests include minimally invasive fracture repair, stifle stabilization, canine elbow dysplasia, joint arthroscopy, and regenerative therapies. In addition to her clinical work, she is deeply committed to advancing surgical education and teaches orthopedic lecture and lab courses across the United States. Her ongoing research and national teaching efforts reflect her commitment to improving surgical techniques and elevating the standard of care in veterinary orthopedics.
