Dr. Beale’s passion is education. He has spent a large portion of his career teaching in hands-on surgery labs and speaking at large conferences. Dr. Beale co-authored Small Animal Arthroscopy, an industry defining textbook on orthopedics. He has written many other published articles and book chapters on specialized care and pioneered minimally-invasive TPLO for treatment of CCL injury in the dog knee.

Dr. Beale received his DVM & completed his residency at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. After his board certification he joined Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in 1992 and practiced there until 2019. In 2020, Dr. Beale founded Nexus Veterinary Continuing Education, followed by H-Town Veterinary Specialists in 2022.

Educational events with Nexus Veterinary CE are coordinated by experienced practice manager and technician, Stacy Durtschi. With a wealth of knowledge working in the surgical suite alongside top specialists, Stacy understands how to support and prepare veterinary professionals for both standard and challenging cases.

On-demand courses and web events are managed by Chris Holly. As a veteran marketer of the veterinary industry, Chris works to develop educational opportunities professionals want and need to be successful in their practices. Chris also manages the website and collaborates with industry leaders to enhance the educational experience for course participants.

Mickaila has been a dedicated veterinary technician for the past four years, working alongside our world-renowned surgeons to provide exceptional patient care. With a passion for education and mentorship, she serves as the lead technician, training and guiding fellow technicians while ensuring seamless course preparation.

When she’s not in the clinic, Mickaila enjoys spending time with her family, whether gathering cattle on the mountain or traveling across the country. Her dedication to both her profession and her personal passions makes her an invaluable asset to our team.
